Learning to Sample: Data-Driven Sampling and Reconstruction of FRI Signals

چکیده
Finite-rate-of-innovation (FRI) signal model is well suited for time-of-flight imaging applications such as ultrasound, lidar, sonar, radar, and more. Due to their finite degrees of freedom, the sub-Nyquist sampling framework used FRI signals. In this framework, achieved by using appropriate kernels. Reconstruction performed first computing Fourier samples then applying sparse-recovery algorithms. The choice reconstruction method plays a crucial role in quality. paper, we consider jointly optimizing parameters. Our combines greedy subsampling algorithm learning-based sparse recovery method. combination has three distinct advantages. First, network does not require knowledge pulse shape, which case with existing approaches. Second, suffer from differentiability issues during training common networks. Further, proposed can flexibly handle changes rate. Numerical results show that, given number samples, joint design leads lower error signals than independent data-driven methods noisy clean samples. We also propose way extend approach large-scale problems. learning-to-sample be readily applied other setups, including compressed sensing

Cramér-rao bound for sampling & reconstruction of FRI signals
This paper analyses the estimation process for Finite Rate of Innovation (FRI) signals. The main contribution is the derivation of the well known Cramér-Rao Bound (CRB) for the estimation of signal parameters for a pulse stream. Other publications consider the estimation of the signal instead of its parameters or omit the effect of sampling. In this contribution both effect are considered and a...
متن کاملSampling and Reconstruction of Sparse Signals on Circulant Graphs - An Introduction to Graph-FRI
With the objective of employing graphs toward a more generalized theory of signal processing, we present a novel sampling framework for (wavelet-)sparse signals defined on circulant graphs which extends basic properties of Finite Rate of Innovation (FRI) theory to the graph domain, and can be applied to arbitrary graphs via suitable approximation schemes. At its core, the introduced Graph-FRI-f...
متن کاملData driven sampling of oscillating signals
The reduction of the number of samples is a key issue in signal processing for mobile applications. We investigate the link between the smoothness properties of a signal and the number of samples that can be obtained through a level crossing sampling procedure. The algorithm is analyzed and an upper bound of the number of samples is obtained in the worst case. The theoretical results are illust...
متن کاملLearning from Noisy Data using Hyperplane Sampling and Sample Averages
We present a new classification algorithm capable of learning from data corrupted by a class dependent uniform classification noise. The produced classifier is a linear classifier, and the algorithm works seamlessly when using kernels. The algorithm relies on the sampling of random hyperplanes that help the building of new training examples of which the correct classes are known; a linear class...
متن کاملConcordance-Based Data-Driven Learning Activities and Learning English Phrasal Verbs in EFL Classrooms
In spite of the highly beneficial applications of corpus linguistics in language pedagogy, it has not found its way into mainstream EFL. The major reasons seem to be the teachers’ lack of training and the unavailability of resources, especially computers in language classes. Phrasal verbs have been shown to be a problematic area of learning English as a foreign language due to their semantic op...
